YOUR Body Waxing Questions, Answered

We’ve put together answers to the most common questions about waxing, Brazilian waxing, and body waxing, so you can feel confident and prepared before your appointment at Annie’s Beauty & Body Waxing.

1. Is waxing painful?

Waxing can cause some discomfort, especially during your first session, but it’s usually quick and very manageable. Most clients say it gets easier with regular appointments as hair grows back finer and weaker.

Hair should be about ¼ inch long (roughly the size of a grain of rice). This allows the wax to grip the hair properly for the best results.

Results typically last 3 to 5 weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle. With consistent waxing, many clients notice slower regrowth over time.

We offer services for nearly every area of the body, including:
✔ Bikini
✔ Legs
✔ Underarms
✔ Arms
✔ Face (brows, lips, chin, cheeks)
✔ Back & Chest
✔ Full-body packages

Yes. Let us know about your skin sensitivity so we can use the most appropriate wax and techniques to minimize irritation.

At Annie’s Beauty & Body Waxing, we only use high-quality hard wax, known for being gentle on the skin and providing smooth, long-lasting results. Unlike soft wax, which uses strips, hard wax adheres to the hair—not the skin—making it ideal for sensitive areas like the bikini line, underarms, and face.

We proudly offer three types of hard wax, each designed to meet different skin needs:

✔️ Classic Hard Wax
Our standard hard wax is ideal for all skin types. It provides excellent hair removal while being gentle on the skin, making it perfect for first-time clients or those with normal skin.

✔️ Cocoa Hard Wax
Infused with nourishing cocoa butter, this wax is designed to soothe and hydrate the skin during the waxing process. It’s perfect for clients with dry or sensitive skin, leaving the skin feeling smooth, moisturized, and less irritated.

✔️ Turmeric Hard Wax
Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory and calming properties. Our turmeric wax helps to reduce redness and irritation, making it ideal for sensitive skin and areas prone to irritation. It also helps brighten the skin over time.

If you’re unsure which wax is best for you, don’t worry — our experienced specialists will guide you and recommend the best option during your appointment.

Most clients book every 4 to 5 weeks to stay smooth and maintain consistent results.

If you’re using retinol, Accutane, or strong exfoliating acids, please let us know. You may need to pause use before waxing to avoid skin lifting.

Some redness is completely normal and usually fades within a few hours. We apply soothing products to help calm the skin.

We recommend avoiding shaving between appointments, as it disrupts the hair growth cycle and can affect your waxing results. You can book your appointment HERE.

Regular exfoliation, moisturizing, and sticking to a consistent waxing schedule are the best ways to prevent ingrown hairs.
